2024: A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Gratitude

As the year comes to an end, we at Bluestone Yeast want to reflect on the highlights of 2024 and express our sincere thanks to all our customers and followers. Your continued support, especially during these challenging economic times, has been the foundation of our journey this year.

Highlights

  • We kicked off the year by attending the High Country Hop Symposium, connecting with industry leaders and gaining insights to further enhance our offerings.
  • We were proud of Nat and Callum from KAIJU\! Beer\! for taking home major wins at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBAs).
  • We expanded our range with 2 new Belgian homebrew strains, making it easier for home brewers to achieve Belgian inspired flavors .
  • We attended GABS (Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular) and caught up with many friends and colleagues.
  • We were honored to be nominated for a Monash Business Award and to become finalists in the Manufacturing Awards.
  • We also enjoyed participating in the Merri Mashers Aussie Smash Homebrew Competition and the Winter Brewing Challenge, both incredible showcases of creativity and brewing talent.
  • We signed a lease and took possession of a food factory and started turning it into a high end Yeast lab.
  • We were thrilled to be featured in Crafty Pint’s 10th-anniversary article for the Merri Mashers and dropped by their HQ for a podcast with James and Will.
  • We also joined Hendo from Rockstar Brewer for an engaging chat about yeast re-pitching.
  • Attending the Merri Mashers homebrew meeting at La Sirène Brewery.
  • Cheering on Rocky Ridge Brewery at the launch of their brand-new Brunswick Brewery.
  • Participating in the 2024 NSW State Amateur Brewing Championships.
  • We installed a new AC/heating system in our labs, making the incubation room more economical and environmentally friendly.
  • Our steam generator was installed, marking a milestone in our infrastructure upgrades.
  • We began initial testing of our new cold-side liquid zinc product.
  • A rewarding project with Ross from Bacchus Brewing in Brisbane.
  • Exciting new strain releases just in time for summer.
  • Oktoberfest celebrations with the Merri Mashers and Tallboy and Moose.
