Detroit
American
Detroit is a fast-fermenting, highly attenuative American ale strain that powers through fermentations cleanly and efficiently. High flocculation means it drops fast and clear, producing bright beer with minimal effort. Its clean, neutral profile with very low esters makes it an excellent choice for big, malty beers like imperial stouts and barleywines, but it handles hoppy double IPAs with equal ease. Ferment at the lower end of its range (16-18C) for the cleanest results.
