About pitch rates
The calculator shows three pitch-rate choices for ales and lagers. We mark the full commercial pitch as recommended, while still letting you model a moderate or lower pitch rate if that suits your process.
Enter gravity as SG or Plato. The calculator uses Bluestone's commercial liquid yeast concentration of greater than 2 billion cells/mL to estimate fresh yeast volume.
