Augsberg
German Lager
Augsberg is a rich, malty German lager strain that excels at producing bocks, doppelbocks, marzens, and Oktoberfest-style beers with deep malt complexity. It creates a smooth, full-bodied character that supports the malt-forward profiles these styles demand. First-generation use may be slower to start, so a larger initial culture and extended fermentation time are beneficial. A diacetyl rest is recommended to ensure a clean finish. Medium flocculation settles well with cold conditioning.
