Pilsen
Czech Lager
Pilsen is a versatile, clean-fermenting lager strain from the Augustiner tradition that combines excellent flocculation with low sulfur and low diacetyl production. It produces a smooth, malt-forward character with subtle complexity, making it ideal for pilsners, helles, bocks, and virtually any lager style. At proper lager temperatures (8-14C) it delivers an exceptionally clean profile that lets malt and hops speak. Good flocculation and rapid maturation allow for shorter lagering times compared to many traditional strains.
